The elders of CFF are excited to announce the adult Sunday School curriculum that we will be using this year as "The Complete Disciple's Path" series by Lifeway. Founded on Jesus’ example, these resources follow the principles of modeling, practicing, and multiplying. Appropriate for groups or one-on-one mentoring, each book uses teaching, questions, conversation, exercises, and individual study to facilitate transformational discipleship.
The six books we will be going through are:
The Beginning: First Steps for New Disciples (9/8 - 9/29)
The Way: Discovering Christ’s Path of Discipleship (10/6 - 11/3)
The Call: Counting the Cost of Following Christ (11/10 - 12/15)
The Truth: Engaging the Foundations of the Faith (1/5 - 2/16)
The Life: Living the Spiritual Disciplines (2/23 - 3/30)
The Mission: Joining God in His Work (4/6 - 5/18)
Each study includes an introduction to the weekly session topic, guided prayer options, and Scripture focus with text and narrative explanation that drives the weekly meeting. Also included each week are discussion questions and group exercises that reinforce the primary teaching points of each topic. Individual study and out-of-group activities have all been crafted to help users take their next step as disciples of Christ. These optional activities include but are not limited to reading plans, prayer exercises, personal study, and journaling.
If you are interested in attending this Sunday School Class, please sign up on the clipboard in the Lobby, indicating which studies you plan on attending so that we make sure to have enough books on hand. We are asking for a $5 donation for each book to offset our cost of materials, but please do not let cost be a factor. Books can be paid for starting the first day of each class.
If you have any questions, talk to Pastor Mike!
Pastor Mike's Wednesday Bible study continues. To accommodate the presence of Fremont Christian School on our campus, our midweek Bible Study will now be held in a single session on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 PM in the Sanctuary. All are welcome to join! We are currently studying 2 Samuel and would love to have anyone interested join us for a time of fellowship and study. The study is also available weekly on You Tube:
